Kiln dried live edge slab. This is Osage Orange (American) lumber. This is a rare slab to be this size. These trees typically do not grow very straight making it difficult to source large straight pieces of lumber. This is the largest Osage Orange tree that we have ever cut. Osage orange is super durable, resistant to rot and decay, and very hard. We hand planed a small section of the slab which shows the great vibrant yellow color this slab will have when finished. Using a UV inhibiting finish will help to keep this yellow color. This slab has some center checks and will need to be stabilized to keep it intact as one large slab.
