Hard Rock
Hard Rock Maple Wood or Hard Rock Maple Lumber is classified as a Domestic wood and if sometimes referred to as, Sugar Maple, White Maple or Rock Maple. Hard Maple has a creamy white with an amber tint to it and usually has a straight grain, however sometimes the grain can be curly or wavy. Its attractive figure comes from its fine brown growth rings and its texture is fine and even. Hard Rock Maple needs to be pre-drilled for nailing and or screwing and it does stain well, glue well and be finished to an attractive finish. Hard Maple is often used for furniture making, heavy-duty flooring, joinery, sporting goods, piano actions, paneling, plywood and veneering. Hard Rock Maple has a Janka hardness rating of: 1450.
