Bubinga Wood & Bubinga Lumber
Bubinga Wood or Bubinga Lumber is classified as an Exotic wood and sometimes referred to as Buvenga, Essingang and African Rosewood. Bubinga is medium red-brown in color and usually has lighter red to purple veining, with it’s texture being moderately coarse but even and it’s grain from straight to interlocked. Gluing can be sometimes be difficult due to gum pockets but it does stain easily and can be made to have an excellent finish. Bubinga wood can be used as a veneer for furniture and cabinetwork and paneling and is also used for wood crafts and knife handles. Bubinga has a Janka hardness rating of: 2628
