Wenge: Exotic Wood
Wenge is an exotic wood with strong grain and a great black color throughout the whole board. Wenge that is plainsawn looks like a Black Oak as far as grain structure. Wenge is often used when color contrasts are needed in a project and the budget won’t allow for more expensive lumber like Ebony. Wenge can be cut quartersawn and plainsawn.
