Curly Hickory is unique and difficult to source. Curly Hickory is a hickory lumber that has curl or figured grain going across the width of the board. Working with Curly Hickory requires good sharp tools due to the hardness of typical Hickory lumber and the added difficulty that the curly grain can cause.

It is a beautiful wood that is worth the effort to use on any woodworking project. Curly Hickory can have multitudes of color that normal hickory lumber has such as white boards, brown boards, and boards that have both colors present.
