Birdseye Maple can be found white in color, the sapwood of the tree but it can also be found with color from the heartwood of the tree. Birdseye Maple is very rare and prized by furniture makers and musical instrument makers. Birdseye Maple with care, nails well but gluing results can vary. Birdseye Maple can be stained and polished to an excellent finish. Birdseye Maple is often used for furniture making, cabinetmaking, domestic flooring, joinery, sporting goods, paneling, plywood and veneering. Birdseye Maple has a Janka hardness rating of 1450.
